The Modern Library

October 7, 2016

modern-library

Here’s a little display of Modern Library books.  The publishing company was founded in 1917 as an imprint of Boni and Liveright. In 1925, it was purchased by Bennet Cerf and Donald Klopfer.

The books have been admired for the quality of the physical books and for the titles the company choses to reprint. Indeed, the motto for the company is, “The Modern Library of the World’s Best Books”.
