Our speaker this time is publisher and typesetter Birdie Newborn, who will be discussing the life and work of the late printer Graham Mackintosh, and well as her own work as typesetter and publisher with Mudborn Press and Bandanna Press.

The 1970s and 1980s were a golden age for publishing in Santa Barbara. Publishers such as Capra Press, Black Sparrow Press, Mudborn Press and Turkey Press were producing work of great literary quality and beauty.
