Philip Kerr, best known for his Bernie Gunther series, died Friday, March 23rd. He was 62.

The Berlin Noir trilogy, published 1989 to 1991, introduced Berlin detective Bernie Gunther. Ten more novels followed between 2006 and 2018. Before his death, Kerr completed Metropolis, which will be published in 2019.
